Yes, so did I. My Bike fared surprisingly well, with just a couple of tiny scratches and a little bit of minor damage to the handle bar tape. I'm now scarred for life.

It's to stop cyclists and pedestrians. I think that they're supposed to wait until people are off the bridge before they close it though!
