One one park wood

Hi, I've cracked the frame on my Voodoo again, so it's time to move on to something new, thinking of doing a build of an On-One Parkwood 29er, and moving the wheels and finishing kit onto the Parkwood so the Voodoo can become a nice wall ornament
This would be the build:
Wheels: off the voodoo till I have money for something better
Tyres: rubber queen and mountain king off the voodoo
Finishing kit: El guapo ancho bars, 70mm stem, decathlon dropper and charge spoon off the voodoo
Pedals: SPD's off the voodoo
NEW STUFF:
Parkwood frame £199
Zee crankset £70.49
Zee 1x10 bundle £127.84
Deore brakes £62.99
Überbike cassette expander: £29.99
Fork?????????????
Rockshox sektor 29 140mm 15mm axle £269.99
Any other suggestions fork wise?
That takes build cost to £760 therabouts - how does this sound? Is there anything I have missed?
Has anyone ridden the Parkwood?
Also are there any other similar frames around for about the £200 mark is should consider?
Cheers

Any reason for changing the crankset?
I'd also look at Epicon forks.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Don't waste money on the Zee cranks. Deore cranks are virtually identical and much cheaper. The Zee short cage mech will need a RAD cage to work properly with an expander. I would go for a mid cage SLX. You would also need an XT cassette to fit the expander ring. i would go for SLX shifter as well because they're nicer than Zee and cheaper.
Epicon fork is cheaper and better than the Sector.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Sektor RL is a decent bet. The Turkey (sorry, turnkey) is not so good.0

It has the rigidity of a wet noodle and a crap damper.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Still better than the totally unadjustable standard Epicon compression damper then, and still stiffer.0
-
The Sector compression adjustment is pointless anyway. It only works fully open, set it to any other position and it gets really harsh. It's effectively just a lock outTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Right might need to reconsider the forks then - going to keep an eye out on eBay for a decent deal
As for changing the crankset - the threads inside the octalink crankset on the voodoo are shagged and also want something a bit nicer for it.
Cheers for the advice, the XT 1x10 bundle on CRC isn't much more than the Zee bundle I just presumed Zee was better for single ring applicationsFramebuilder

The forks are the sektor RL solo air 2016 - if that makes any difference but I haven't ordered anything yet so still open for any advice.Framebuilder

Go for Deore cranks. Cheaper than Zee and virtually the same. Very good cranks.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Yep swapped the zee for Deore crank now, also changed drivetrain to a Deore shadow plus mech and an XT shifter instead. Would rather have 140mm travel on this - but is the Reba RL a lot better than a Sektor RL?Framebuilder

The Reba is a slightly higher model than the Sektor, but shorter travel - lighter, more XC oriented. They have the same Motion Control compression damper, though you can adjust the blow off valve with a 2,5mm allen key. Also gets a rapid recovery rebound damper.
It is the TK dampers you need to avoid if you can.0 -
Cheers - so better off with the Sektors as they have more travel?

These are the forks in question.
There is no mention of Turnkey - only Motion Control damping.
Also, when buying forks do they come with a crown race or do you get one when buying a headset?Framebuilder

The crown race comes with the headset.
This is the fork I'd get:

Cheers - would have had those but the lowest price I could find was £399 - those will go in the shopping list total is now £750Framebuilder

If they are boost compatible I doubt they'd fit a standard front hub. The listing isn't completely clear, only mentioning it half way down the page. I'd check which model they are with Tredz.0

Can't see how they'd be compatible with a 110mm hub and a 100mm hub though. From what I've read RS are saying that their 29" boost forks will work with 27.5+ as there'll still be sufficient clearance. If it is a boost fork a standard front hub would be too small0
