V to disc brake converter

Has anyone used a converter bracket to add a rear disc mount to an old V-brake frame? Something like this
I have an old v-brake only frame I'm looking to use as a commuter/pub bike and was planning on using disc brakes as my fork can take disc or v-brakes but the frame only has v-brake mounts. So if I want to use discs both ends I need to add disc mounts to the frame. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with one of these converters.

seems as most braking (70% plus) is done at the front, i'd just leave a vbrake at the back?0

For a pub bike I'd leave the (lighter) v-brakes on at the rear.
Many people have used the convertors, usually they work fine but occasionally the frame doesn't like them and they can be very hard to secure.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

For sake of completeness, to be road legal a bike needs two brakes. (If it's Fixie then the pedals are the rear brakes )Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
