Cycling home (okay to the pub) with my mate last night, he's leading through Attenborough village, where he randomly took a left turn and stopped.
The conversation went like this:
"Why did you turn down here and stop?"
"I'm not sure where to go"
<spluttering slightly> "but, but you've done this route LOADS of times"
"Well, yeah but I normally never lead"
"Huh? Surely you're looking at where we are going though?"
"Err.... no. I just normally keep my head down and stare at your rear tyre"
.........
"You're not looking at my rear *tyre* are you?"
"No."
"You're looking at the seals aren't you?"
"Yes."
I'm going to start wearing REALLY baggy shorts from now on.
