Hi there.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this but i'd like some help in identifying this bike.
http://www.gumtree.com/p/bicycles/mens-mountain-bike-26in-wheel-18in-frame-15-gears-in-good-condition-/1129770621
From what I can see it looks like the frame is a Reynolds 500 and it has Shimano 100GS gears...
Would anyone happen to know the manufacturer/date etc?
Thanks a lot

It's at least 20 years old. If you want a pub bike it's probably worth £20, but I don't think you've got an original Tomac there.0

Try www.retrobike.co.uk
But 100GS is entry level stuff and 501 is plain gauge chromoly, so one step up from gas pipe.I don't do smileys.

Looks like an old Raleigh Montage, 1989ish.0

As the bike has clearly been resprayed, the frame could be made of anything,501 stickers can be bought off ebay e.g. (others available)
