Decent bib shorts with a thin basic chamois?

Been battling saddle sores for ages, tried various saddles, chamois cremes, no creme and top end shorts as well as messing about with position but nothing seems to have solved it.
Thinking back to when I didn't suffer, I used to use shorts with a pretty basic chamois, just thin and without all the shaped sections you get in the likes of assos so trying to find something similar, anyone got any suggestions please?

Decathlon? Their more expensive shorts have a mulitithickness pad which I like but the cheaper ones have a thinner foam pad.
A lot are on sale right now too.I'm left handed, if that matters.0 -
I have the same issue - my "best" shorts are cheap ones from Nalini - super shiny lycra, and hardly any pad, but do not give me any issues - my others i use i can hardly last an 30 mins in them without them feeling like they have all wrinkled up in the center of my, errrrr well you know the place.
dont get me wrong this is not the typical "bunching" fore and aft, this is "inbetween" bunching
I also find that with a decent padded saddle I do not need all the extra padding.0 -
Fake Chinese off Alibar or Ebay have a thin chamois.0

The cheaper end DHB from wiggle have a basic thin pad.0

Check out Bouré Pro Bib shorts, also available as shorts. It has a super minimal chamois with no ergo lumps or bumps.

Endura bibs FS260 range can be ordered in a range of pad widths... from narrow to wide.... excess pad material can always be an issue. Endura have seen this and acknowledged it.. sometimes I wonder why other brands have not caught on either.
Other than that Triathlon versions of bibs can be an option ( being more designed to be run and if needs be swum in ) and easier to source in the UK. Castelli do a range....2XU0 -
thanks for both replies - good links

In the hope that you don't have to spend money, here's an idea; drop your saddle height by a couple of mm and stretch your hamstrings before each ride. I have always suffered from saddle sores and find stretching my posterior chain (and most importantly my hamstrings) to be the only cure. My saddle height is correct and I know I have a leg length difference, but stretching hamstrings works for me!
Failing that, even though I'm sponsored by Le Col (who do excellent clothing btw, should you want to try it out), I found the Sportful Bodyfit Pro chamois to be a little thinner, not in any sections, and still high quality. I'd recommend that for your needs.I'm on Twitter! Follow @olake92 for updates on my racing, my team's performance and some generic tweets.0
