Genesis Croix de Fer 20 vs Giant TCX SLR 2

Sorry guys but this is another "What should I buy thread".

I'm currently torn between the Genesis Croix de Fer 20:

I had a Genesis Croix de Fer back in 2010 and loved it but eventually sold it to make way for 29er hardtail. Now I'm after a new bike for commuting (maybe this should be in the commuting section?). My commute is just over 12 miles and about 50% off road through the woods.

I'll also use this bike for long day rides (around 100 miles) over mixed terrain.

So let's hear it, between the two, what would you chose and why?

    Forgot to mention, the wildcard choice is to wait a couple of months and get the Genesis Day One Decade when it's released around October time.
