What mileage are people getting out of Michelin Pro 3's? I run 25mm one's but they seem soft (rubber wise) and it's time to replace them. I run Conti's on the winter bike. Pro 4's are supposed to be better but you can pick up Pro 3's pretty cheap.
FWIW, in terms of rolling quality, what options are there other than Michelin's or Conti's?
Ribble have a sale on tyres at the moment*. Vittoria Open Corsa? Schwalbe? I am a stick in the mud when it comes to changing them.
*£52.50 for a pair of Pro 4's but no 25mm's.

I found Pro3s pretty awful when it came to wear and they did cut up pretty easily but Pro4s are excellent in comparison, they wear well and the grip is great.
Previously I'd used Vittoria open corsa which are generally regarded as the top clincher going, but Pro4s run pretty close to them. Everyone to their own though.
    £21 at High on Bikes.

If you can bide your time, wait for a stock update from Decathlon, 2x25c Pro4 for £38 delivered.

I got about 2500 miles out of my rear Pro4 Service Course (canvas visible all round the tyre, mind). Not too displeased considering how sticky they are.

    That's handy info Ipete, cheers.

What are all the abbreviations of the Vittoria's? CX, Evo, CX111, SC? I have trawled through reviews and none the wiser. According to this:

I'll get less miles from the than a set of Pro 3's. What Vittoria did you ride Bozman?

Apparently they come close to feeling like a tub but I've never used tubs so I can't confirm that. I do most of my miles around Derbyshire's lanes and I get about 2-2.5k out of a rear tyre and nearly 7k out of the front, they used to have a dubious reputation in the wet but the latest gen is fine but make sure that they're scrubbed-in before you use them in the wet.
