Any thoughts on the best tubes between Vittoria and continental race 28? I fancy a change.

no difference, a butyl tube is pretty much the same whoever makes it, you can go for a really thin one like a supersonic, but still doubt you'll notice any difference

if yiu've got really supple tyres, try a latex tube, but it'll still be hard to notice if at all

Mind and tighten the valves on the Contis.
    Just saying.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I disagree. Most butyl inner tubes are made under contract by the same manufacturers in Thailand. Michelin, however, still make their own, and they are head and shoulders above Vittoria in quality. Continentals are pretty good, but the smooth shaft of the Michelin give them the edge in the valve removal stakes.

The lightest butyls weigh the same as latex, but they do not perish.

Michelin make their tyres in Thailand as well. I don't have one of their inner tube boxes to hand but I suspect they are made there as well.

    Rubber grows in Thailand.

Do you mean they make them there but not under contract by another factory?

BTW what do you think of Challenge latex inner tubes?

I like Michelin but have had problem lately with them leaking where the valve joins the tube.

Michelin have their own factory. I'm not aware of Challenge.
