Adjusting hoods, bartape in place?

Hi guys.

I want to move my hoods down the bar some more, while still keeping my bar tape on. Will this keep the metal clamp on the hood in the correct place and still sit fine around the bar?

    No, you'll need to remove the tape.

    An easy fix is rotating the bars forward? Otherwise you'll need to remove the bar tape and tape fastening the outers to the bars.

    Depends how far you want to move them and how particular you are about bar tape aesthetic perfection. I've done minor tweaks with tape in place but would baulk myself at exposed bar or rumpled tape showing.
