Looking good. I only hear good things about Transition bikes. Definitely on my list of potential next bikes.Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650B http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13032340

Nice, I always liked Bottlerockets. Needs a stiffer fork and six foot of air under the wheels.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Aye, pikes will be the fork of choice next year I think, I got the revs for 1/3rd of the price a decent set of used pikes so they will do for now.
Can't wait to get out for a blast!0 -
It's not really a good bike for covering miles so I would get a set of Lyriks on it.
I still think the Lyrik coil RC2DH is a better performing fork than the Pike RCT3.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

I'll keep my eyes peeled, cheers.
Didn't get chance to get out at the weekend, but Cannock Chase on Saturday so will see how she rides then.
One thing I do want to look at is some wider rims & new tyres, certainly over winter anyway.0 -
Looks great. I'd quite happily use that as an AM bike lol. not too much travel that it's going to mess you up for climbing but tough enough to withstand a good thrashing.0

You haven't tried climbing on one of these have you? It's very hard work!Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Climbings hard work on any bike it makes up for it going down.0 -
It is good going down. It's even better in the air :-)Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I can second that. I ride an 04 big hit lol. It's so heavy that if you drop it, it doesn't bounce0 -
You should try a Brooklyn Race Link or a pre 2010 Giant Glory if you think your Big Hit is heavy!Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I've had some time to evaluate the Bottlerocket & my concencus is that it is badass. Okay it doesn't climb fantastically but who cares, it ploughs through the downs & is super fun and snappy to ride.
Stripping it down & giving everything a good clean & new bearings once the frame is back from the powdercoaters.0 -
Lush colour. Lush bike.'14 Whyte T129s-*DEAD*
