[I posted on another forum but very keen to purchase ASAP so fishing for more pointers]
I have 1K to spend via Cycle-To-Work. I will be training for a triathlon for the first time ever.
I am 111kg , and cycle commute into Central London on the rare occasions I go into the office. This will increase as part of my training...
Our CTW scheme is with Evans. I like the idea of hydralic disc brakes.
so I've shortlisted the following at Evans
- Fuji 1.1 LE 2015 Road (assuming I can talk them down £40)
- Genesis Equilibrium Disc 10
I think I definitely want strong wheels 32spokes + and something that can take 28mm tyres. (or wider??)
So that looks like the Fuji for me?
Thoughts on this bike ?

Also look at the currently discounted pinnacle Arkose bikes and Norco cross bikes. Check with your events whether you can ride with discs though.0

Check their website they price match all the main discounters.0

Thanks - the Pinaccle Arkose Four looks good - but I'd have to change tyres.
The Norco Search 105 also looks good but above my budget for now0 -
