Im sure it gets asked my times but the last post was a good few years ago. I currently have 4 bikes, valued at around £5k collectively in my garage (not connected to my house). I'm just about to order a wireless alarm for the garage also.
Which are the better bike insurers. Just want damage and theft insurance. like for like replacements or cheque settlement and one that is easy to update as bikes update.
The few policies I have seen so far average £30 per month

It matters not, win or lose, it's how you ride the bike

Out of interest why would you want a wireless alarm? And I don't mean the obvious answer of no wires. Or is this the reason?0

I kind of thought this may turn into a 'wireless vs wired' debate so i'll only answer this once as I don't want to veer away from the main topic.
I go wireless because 1) it allows me to decorate easily 2)ease of installation and 3) I don't want the sounder box attached to the garage as it can be easily disrupted easily. Instead, I have the dummy box (its a yale) connected to the garage, and the sounder box attached high up on the house (just across the way), thus sending the sound further and giving me a better chance of hearing it in bed.

Ner ner I hope you have factored in wireless handshaking protocols?0

I get why you would want wireless, but if it is being installed in a garage not attached to the property with the value of bikes you are mentioning hardwired would be the better option. Wireless opens up your system.
Why would you care about positioning and decorating purposes in a garage? Also you don't have to position the bell box in the garage.
Just my thoughts and I think you should be looking at specialist insures rather than general.0 -
mine bike is covered on the house insurance, allowed me to cover it up to £3000 and thats in the garage. check your home insurance to see if you can just add it on, most allow for lots of additions these days.0
