Rim wear - when to worry?

Here's a picture of the front rim on my zondas. As you can see, there's obvious wear starting to show but at what point should I worry and replace it?

I've seen much worst than that. Plenty of life left on those.

Buy a dental guage from eBay, about £5. Useful for measuring rim thickness, IIRC, when it goes under 1mm, keep a closer eye on it, when it gets to 0.8mm or less, it's time to bin it.

This is only a rule of thumb of course. It's also why I'm migrating to discs on all my bikes as and when I sell them and upgrade.

I've got one, completely un-reproducible. You take 10 measurements and you get ten different numbers
