Ribble Aero 883

Recently took delivery of my new Ribble Aero 883 bike and noticed that there were marks on the forks and the saddle stem.
Advised Ribble and provided pictures of the mark - Ribbles response is:
"I am afraid nothing can be done to resolve this as the issues you have highlighted are perfectly normal for a ‘UD’ finish frame. UD or Unidirectional carbon finish frames means that the final finish is the carbon in its raw form and there is no ‘fake’ carbon weave added for aesthetic purposes."
No knowing anything about UD carbon or any other carbon layering for that matter I am not sure if the response is valid. :?
Anybody able to offer constructive advise?
Cheers

It can be.
But without seeing what brought about the reply who can say."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I have a UD frame with matt clear coat similar to this, there are even more marks than this on it. My friends BMC TRM01 is exactly the same.0

Doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary for raw carbon frames. Mine is similar.0

Nice, show us some proper pics in the "my bike" section.
How does it ride?0 -
My Scott CR1-SL looks worse than that in several places. That's the price you pay for a naked carbon finish. The upside is you aren't lugging around all those extra grams of paint or useless cosmetic carbon weave. If you bought it to ride then go ahead, you have nothing to worry about. If you bought it to look at, perhaps you should've gone for something with a nice glossy painted finish?0
