Some moron evidently didn't like the fact that I was riding my bike on the road earlier this pm and decided to pass by so close that literally I probably had 20cm of clearance from bike to side of his car. I've got the registration number but no video evidence nor did I stop to try to find a handy witness.

Is there any point at all in seeing if the Police are interested? I'm suspecting not as they wouldn't have much to go on, unless the guy has a prior history of a complete disregard for the safety of others.....

Sadly malicious, he slowed to get as close as possible then sped up once past.

Oh well, the registration number is on a post-it note in my car, if he's local, I dare say our paths may cross again and we could discuss.
  • Police won't be interested even if you had gopro footage. You would have to be mowed down and spat out from the rear before they take any interest.

Hack in to the police hq computers. Run his plate, then call and see him at home. Simple

Drive 78 mph on a perfectly straight bit of empty motorway on a sunny day. The police will quickly contact you then...

Things like that really boil my piss. Thats why I hate traffic police. Pedantic sods but dont do Jack S about more serious stuff such as the case with OP.

I have often thought about doing this...

    1. Hire a car same model and colour as his
    2. Get some plates off the internet same reg number as his
    3. Run through a few speed cameras and set them off

since when have you been able to specify the colour, let alone the model of hire car.

in my experience you book a VW golf and get given a Kia C'e''e'd.
