Hi all.

Not sure if this is the right place to shamelessly promote myself but here goes. I recently tried writing about my experiences on a bike and posted a couple of short articles with photos to Medium.

Hope you enjoy reading them. Please feel free to share or leave comments on what you think about them. (Basically if you think they're any good or not) :)

Cheers.

  • Hi Daniel,

Had a look at your writing and pics. Enjoyed what I read, although it was very short. I am unused to 'medium' so wasn't sure how much you had written or if there was anything missing. The story suddenly finished as if half way through. Loved the pics, you take super photos. I've done loads of articles for the national press so have some experience of writing (people come to me for stories because I am a specialist in a certain subject of finance) and your style was easy to read and interesting.

I would have liked to read more. As someone who loves bikes as much as you do I am always on the lookout for books and articles about bikes, so keep at it.

    Good luck! :D

    Hi Daniel

Missy is spot on .... Photography is great and the writing is casual and easy to read. Just as I was getting going though, it stopped! Some people say/write too much, you should do more.

    Enjoyed it :)
Still thinking of something clever to say!

    Hi Missy,

They're the first two pieces I've ever written. I really enjoyed putting them together actually so I'll probably keep it up, for a bit at least. Thanks for your comments and encouragement :)

    Hi Philly,

Thank you, I've glad you liked the pieces. I've read them through again and I think the reason they finished somewhat abruptly is I didn't want to bore the reader. I feel once I've told most of the story I wrap it up fairly quickly. I'll keep your feedback in mind for the next one! Thanks again.
  • Hi Daniel

I was browsing through the forum when I stumbled across this and I have to say that I really enjoyed your writing. It flows naturally and I was genuinely interested to hear what happened next  I agree with what the guys above said about it being too short though, I would have liked to hear more! Also, the photos are amazing - I feel inspired to take a trip there myself! Keep up the good job :)
