Do BMC's Look good in Blue? (or Yellow!)

The BMC Teammachine Slr02 has long since been top of my most coveted bikes list, and I'm just waiting for the planets to align for me to be able to afford/ accommodate exotic lightweight carbon and without testing any, these are at the top of my list die to description and looks.
However, I was very interested to see that BMC have made a radical departure from their old colour schemes with the 2016 Slr02s- the old models looking like this:
and this:
This year's crop look quite different, and I'm not so sure how the new colours go- although I love blue bikes in general, I'd grown fond of the black, red and white colours. But here are the new ones, in all their glory:
105 model
Ultegra:
I think I'm going to have to wait to see the blue 105 model in the flesh before I properly make up my mind- on the one hand it hides potentially unsightly unidirectional carbon, but on the other it could look pretty garish!
Some bikes can pull off the modern trend for 'loud' paint schemes, but I'm not sure if this is one of them yet.

At least you are not in the market for a GF01, that really is hideous
Fortunately, the 105 and Tiagra models are conventional black and red.0 -
Here's a vote for the blue.0

Each to their own and all that but i would be more concerned about the hideous rear ends on BMC's. You either love them or hate them I guess. I'm the latter, they look like cut and shuts to me.
As far as colour goes, I always prefer mainly black bikes as they don't tend to date as quickly.0 -
I personally love the shape of the rear end of the BMCs- they look 'engineered' and more futuristic.
I have no idea what they were trying to achieve with that GF01...
Definitely agreed that the black based colours never really age- not a fan of all black bikes but the company colours of black and red will never go out of fashion. I have a 5 year old Trek 1.1 in red black and flashes of white, and it's still classy today.0 -

I doubt the brand of bike has much to do with how a paint job looks. It's either a good looking paint job with a good looking color or it's not. It's all in the eye of the beholder.0

Adam,
That's a serious amount of saddle setback you have there...wish I could do the same.0 -
I have long thighs!
It has come forward about 1cm and stem is now 1 spacer above the headset. Feels better (and looks better)If the bar ain't bending, you're just pretending0
