Mounting a pump and bottle..

So I am just looking at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CMP-008-Beto-Alloy-Barrel-Mini-Bike-Cycle-Pump-Presta-Schrader-Gauge-Brand-New-/231262999393?hash=item35d8595361 this bike pump and noticed it says it can be mounted under the water bottle cage. Now while this seems like a good idea I'm thinking if it is mounted under the bottle, a little to the side it is going to get kicked off / caught as you peddle? How has everyone else mounted their bottle / pump. Or is it more of a case of you sling one in a rucksack?
EDIT: Sorry realised I've probably post in the wrong section, please feel free to move.

Yep, got one on my commuter hack and one on the wife's full sus. You don't notice them at all.
The alternative is chuck the pump in your pack where it is out of the way of the crud.2011 Giant Trance Ltd, 2016 Revs, XT bits etc.0 -
...and wrap the pump in a poly bag to stop carp getting inside....take your pickelf on your holibobs....

How would a carp get inside a pump? Seems a bit far fetched to me.0

I have a toppeak one and it went under the bottle cage two years ago and it's been there ever since (except when I'm using it!), no problems at all.0 -

Lol. Literally made me laught out loud.
On topic though, it works fine. Mine had a rubber strap that went round to make sure it stays in place. I just throw it in a pack now though, I'm all for keeping as much off the bike as possible.Daddy, Husband, Designer, Biker, Gamer, Geek
