Hi guys and girls,

Looking at purchasing a bike to help me start getting fit again,

Found a bike I like but sellers unsure of all details,

Looking at a MERIDA MATTS TRAIL300

Its advertised as coming with Fox racing shox FLOAT29 but when I google the bikes spec it is advertised as coming with suntour SR shocks

A friend of mine said he thinks the shocks that are now on the bike are for 29" wheels, does anyone here know if thats true, and if the bike will still ride ok with the new Fox shocks ?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I can't help with your actual query I'm afraid but a word of warning - if the seller doesn't know much about the bike then there's a possibility its stolen. Obviously they could be completely innocent and may just not know a lot about their bike but if its not standard spec and they don't know why then I'd be suspicious.

Get some sort of proof of purchase before committing to buy the bike.
  • Thanks I will ask him, once I know the bike is going to be good

They're called forks, and those do look like 29ers.
