Hi Folks

I have a couple of spare 650b wheels so was thinking of making a couple of upgrades to a Specislised Rockhopper expert bike I have in the shed. Forks need replaced anyway so was looking at getting a new set and sticking a 650b wheel on the front. To be honest i can't see why there would be any issues particularly if I get a 650b compatible fork but was wondering if anyone else has done the same.

I'd keep the 26" wheel on the back.

What do you think?
Cheers

It will change the geometry a tiny but, but will work fine, as long as you keep the travel roughly the same.

Might be a hassle finding straight 1 1/8th steerer forks in 650b though, if that's what the Rockhopper is.

Get Fox forks, they have enough arch clearance unless you go mad on tyre size for 27.5 tyres on the 26" fork.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
