Soak in a detergent like Biotex then use vanish to get the remnants out, DO NOT WASH normally, otherwise you will fix it in.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

There's a recent thread on this in Road Buying Advice
But - pre-treat with Swarfega Green (GENTLY massage in) or, failing that, Fairy Liquid and leave to act on it for a short while. Then wash on its own in plenty of bio detergent on the warmest setting you think you can get away with. Repeat if necessary.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

I used osme of that citrus based degreaser on a pair of shorts on Monday that got oiled. Worked well and rinsed out just fine. Shorts have not fallen apart either!RIP commute...
Sometimes seen bimbling around on a purple Fratello Disc or black and red Aprire Vincenza.0 -
If none of the above work, go to Maplin and buy a tin of Iso Propyl Alcohol - that'll shift it and wont damage the fabric. I use it all the time for just such situations."The Flying Scot"

brake parts cleaner?
Yes - as per the iso propyl alcohol (which brake cleaner might actually be) - if things get desperate a pure solvent might work, though take care with colour fastness.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
I second MRS's swarfega recommendation - have used it successfully many times on clothes and carpets0

If you think it's a lost cause can try a mix of nitric and sulphuric acid, when dry apply a very long match to the oily patch. Outside mind you.FCN 9 || FCN 50

This.
My Rapha Hardshell was £70 because it had a massive oil stain on it. Covered in Pedro's degreaser and then washed normally with RX reproofer. Good as new.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

Over we have a kitchen degreaser called KH7, which is almost literally magical in what it will get out of clothes.
If you can't get KH7 where you are, I would try any kitchen degreaser.
Swarfega is a degreaser so I guess that would work as well.
Cheers

Swarfega is great because it's designed to remove this type of grease, it's mild, and it's of a consistency that allows it to be applied easily and cleanly. My mum has been using it for exactly this type of stuff for about 40 years. The risk with kitchen surface cleaners is that you should really check the colour fastness of your garment. Also, be absolutely sure that there are no bleaches or other aggressive chemicals in it.
On the plus side, cycling gear is incredibly tough. Anybody that's read the recent Rapha post on the development of their clothing will have seen what their chief designer (Raeburn) says about how tough it needs to be.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
