Fed up of creaking bottom bracket under load. Regreasing seems to help for around 20 miles. So as there seems to be no conversion to thread bb I'm looking for a sturdier preferably not bloody plastic bb.

A BB86 bottom bracket is not serviceable. Install the cups with anti seize it seems to helps. The creaking has to be the bb as well it can be so many things.

If the BB is installed incorrectly, worn or bearings are corroded, no end of regreasing will fix it. BB86/92 is very reliable IME - I have them installed on a CX bike and MTB. You can get BB86 BBs from the likes of KCNC which use alloy cups but need a bit more care installing them.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
