No difference at all, except it will be a bit lighter. Shimano say that short cage rear mechs won't work with a 12-30t cassette, but you should be fine.0 -
I've just done that - I got a Tiagra one though as it was a bit cheaper and I'm not going to keep it on. All I had to do was wind the b screw right in.
It's great for big hills but I had to make the chain longer and it's not quite as smooth as usual.I'm left handed, if that matters.0 -

Ditto this, I fitted a 12/30 on my last bike with 5700 and wound the b-screw in fully and it worked fine without any clearance issues.0
