I am looking to buy a Topeak Saddle Dry bag and was wondering which version to go for, Clip or Strap?

Well, if you want to remove it every time you stop I would say clip, if not I would say strap.
Other thing, I think when you drop your bike the clip is more likely to snap when it hits something...
I have had a strap version for about 10 years now - no probs at all and very easy to remove.

Thats pretty much what I have read that the clip is less reliable and more prone to breaking. I think I will just stick with a strap version as my mobile will be placed in the bag.0

If you have a dropper post then only the strap version will work.
My original strap version lasted around 5 years before the zip gave up, i replaced it with a XLC strap version but this lasted less than 2 years, gone back to Topeak now..Every time I go out, I think I'm being checked out, faceless people watching on a TV screen.....0 -
Just a standard post here.
I just need to see if the medium dry bag is big enough to fit a mini pump, tube, mini tool, puncture kit, tyre lever, mobile and keys. I havent got a local shop which sells these bags so I cant size them up before buying.0 -

You might struggle to get all that in a medium. It will have to be a very small pump, there are a couple of elasticated straps on the outside to hold the pump, but i've never trusted them much. I use a medium , inside there's a decent inner tube, set of tyre levers, puncture pepair patches, good mini toll and a 5€ note, not room for much else, you might be able to get a mobile inside if you open the bellows part of the bag to make it slightly larger, but i'd doubt if you can get an iphone6 or similar in there.Every time I go out, I think I'm being checked out, faceless people watching on a TV screen.....0 -
Cheers for the feedback. I might just have to jump upto the large if its not all going to fit as I really don't want to place my phone in my pocket. This is the bag I am thinking of getting, this one also doesn't expand like some of the other saddle bags:

and this is the pump I am going to order:

Managed to have a look at the medium and Large Dry bag today and the medium bag didn't hold as much as I thought it would. I was actually quiet surprised at how small it is inside.
Once the inner tube was in placed inside wasn't much space for anything else and the Racerocket pump just about got in terms of length. The Dry bag has a hard shell so is fairly fixed on what you can squeeze in, it does look and feel very well made. The Large Dry bag seems a fair bit bigger than the medium in terms of usable space and could swallow a fair bit of kit, even though its Large it seems slightly smaller than the Large Aero Wedge. Anyway after all that I am going for the Large Dry bag.0
