Mavic Ksyrium Elite spoke popped out
Hi,
Hit a beast of a pothole tonight on way home & it has popped a spoke out of the hub on the rear wheel. I don't think the spoke is broken (still has the end flange bits) but I'm not sure how to get this back in the hub. Basically want to know if this is a shop job or if I should be able to do this myself without any special tools etc?
You tube was disappointing for once....

Problem is that if it happened it's either too low tension in the spokes or your rim got flattened at that spot... so yes, it is a LBS jobleft the forum March 20230

I've got a written off Ksyrium Elite rear wheel - the hub has fractured - Mavic wanted £170 (prob plus VAT) to rebuild with new hub and spokes ... I decided that I could buy a whole new wheelset for that .... so I did ...
disappointed with the Mavics tbh - I know they were secondhand so don't know their treatment before I got them, but I'd ridden them for 2 years and about 4000 miles - I'm not heavy and don't put out huge amounts of power ...0 -

Nah - Fulcrums on special offer .. the only issue I've had with Fulcrums (so far) is a freehub body splitting where the cassette lockring screws in - bit of a bugger, but I can get it to hold ... and as those wheels cost about a ton and have done loads of miles I'm not overly bothered - especially as it must've been me over tightening the lockring!
I keep looking at custom builds ....0
