Garmin Edge Touring and iPad

Anyone use iPad to create planned routes and then transfer file to Edge Touring? If so, how are you doing this? What file format and technically how to transfer as iPad does not have USB port and Edge Touring does not have wireless.

Also, anyone name best mapping software to use to create planned route?

How about a mini USB to Female USB 2.0 converter then a USB Bluetooth dongle so the iPad can see the Edge Touring? Then can download from Garmin Connect to the device. Anyone done this with success?

Well the Edge Touring is not going to have built in drivers for USB Bluetooth dongles so that won't work.
