Routes in Swiss Normandy
I am at present in a camper van in Swiss Normandy. This is an area about 40 miles south of Caen. It has an amazing selection of 30 marked mountain bike routes varying from blue to black. Yesterday I followed one of these red trails and was very impressed. Routes can be obtained from the tourist office in Thury Harcourt. I am staying on a little campsite at Le RIvieres 2 miles south of Thury just outside the village of Caumont Sur Orne opposite the garden center on the D562. The campsite has a shower and toilet and is only 12 Euros a night. It has a pleasant riverside location. Opposite is a track which leads to several of the routes. This area is a hidden gem and well worth a visit.
