Associated Press have just released some old newsreel from the tour including this one. The question is what year is it? (1937?)

    1937 makes a lot of sense - last winner we see is Swiss Champion and that would be Leo Amberg who won stage 19b of the 1937 TdF (a time trial into Caen)

    Brilliant footage - damn those guys look tough as old boots
