Tubeless A23 - expectations?
OK so I've just built up some Velocty A23 rimmed wheels I am going to run tubeless, have fitted the tyre (a used Hutchinson Atom Galactik) without sealant and it has lost most of its pressure after 30 minutes, still a bit "turgid" but not firm.
Now, when I fitted these tyres (and their Schwalbe One successors in fact) on my Pacenti SL23 rims they stayed firm overnight with no sealant.
I am obviously going to put sealant in there but the Q is whether I should expect a "tubeless ready" rim like the A23 to stay up without sealant or whether this is normal and the SL23s are just freakishly good at holding air? Or, in other words, should I try re-fitting the tyres on the A23 rims or leave alone and just add some sealant?
TIA, as always.
