Road bike - 1000-1500$ range

Hey

I'm looking to buy my first bike and have looked upon Canyons road bike, but the have a lot of different bikes in that price range.

Any specific canyon model or other brand you would recommend?

    $ is that USD or CAD or AUD or do you realy mean Euro?

    Originally i was thinking 1000-1500 USD as it was the easiest as i live northern Europe.

    After having researched a bit more i think that budget between 1000 and 1500 euros will get me a lot more

    So my budget is 1000-1500 €

    I have looked at the ENDURACE CF 7.0 and was wondering if anyone could recommend it?

    I'm also thinking about the Endurace AL 6.0 and 7.0

    And how do these bikes compare to the Giant Defy 1 compact?
