as per the title.... I’m considering changing wheels to UST - i’m looking for recommendations for rims / hubs / wheelsets to change my OEM DTswiss 420 SL rims - I’ve got a 2010 26” Specialized Stumpjumper FSR elite which has QR front and rear. - use is principally XC / enduro.

Just use some rim tape and convert yours to tubeless. Proper UST is pointless.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I half agree with RC here - I'd not bother with wheel building using UST rims given the current ease at which tubeless designed rims inflate with some gorilla tape and stans fluid but its different if you are buying a complete wheel. some rims don't work well with some tyres but I've had no issue with any tyres I've tried on my mavic wheels.

Cheers for the comments.
I've ordered a Stan's no tubes standard tubeless kit so will give it a go
Am I right in thinking that I can use my standard folding (non tubeless specific tyres) on standard rim converted to tubeless using the Stan's kit and sealant?0 -
don't bother with the stans kit - gorilla tape, valves and sealant0

Im using non tubeless tyres with sealant .No problems at all, they even went up with a track pump.
With any set up you may find you need a compressor to seat them.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
