upgrades

I am looking to upgrade my road bikes gearing and shifters, it currently has drop shifters. I am having some confusion though on the difference between mountain bike parts and road bike parts however. can mountain bike cassettes derailleurs and crank sets go on a road bike?? I intend on using SRAMS X5 shifter triggers

    You will need to get a suitable SRAM rear cassette to work with the left hand shifter.
