Any way to tell crank alignment?

I've fitted a Stages power meter and it's fine except that every ride I've done since I've ended up with what feels like a slightly pulled muscle in my lower back left hand side.
I was wondering if perhaps the cranks may be marginally out of alignment.
Is there any way to tell, other than by eye? It looks ok but want to rule out issues with it.

That's quite possible! Like I said I just wanted some way to verify that my install is correct.0 -
As far as i'm aware it's only by eye and I think even if you put it slightly out it would be obvious to your eye.0

Some BMX multi spline ones you could. And the old square tapers you could get 90degrees out but can't think of any others that allow this as they have a different spline. Like your cassette."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Your cleats are out of alignment, your seat is crooked or you have a functional misalignment yourself.
If it is a stages, have you got the right cranklength to match your chainset?0 -

Yes, was 165 replaced with 165, and measured it.0 -
Looking at my bike I'm not entirely confident the wheel is aligned right.
The weekend before last the LBS changed my headset and the wheel looks like it's pointing to the left ever so slightly which would explain left back muscle strain.
Is there any way to measure that or just by eye?0 -
Is the wheel in the dropouts correctly? Loosen the quick release and make sure the wheel is in the dropsouts fully before tightening.0

Haha, you sound paranoid now!
It's entirely possible that the stem isn't fixed quite straight and I guess if you're having to extend your reach with your left arm to get to the bars then it could explain the niggle.
As far as I know, there's no hard and fast way to measure it. I always just do it by eye and then end up paranoid and fiddle with it after every ride until something else distracts me from it a few weeks down the line.0
