Afternoon, purchasing new wheels for my new Focus izalco max. I've got my eye on the zipp 202 and 303 clincher wheels but I'm seeing some horror stories about the 188 hubs!
Am I best staying away from the zipps? Or is there a better wheel for the money? On my last bike I used American Classic victory 30 wheels and tbh they where awful! So flexy, which I hated and the rear hub was terrible. I want something nice and stiff with a bit of an aero advantage. I'm not the lightest rider at 85kg though!
My current wheels on my focus are the DT Swiss R20 Dicut, not bad wheels and decently light but I want something a bit more special.

It's most likely the newer hub V9... you can recognise it as the cassette side has crossing spokes, rather than radial ones. The older V8 type should no longer exist... it's been superseeded nearly 2 years agoleft the forum March 20230

That's good then, although it just says 188 on the description.... Mmmm0
