What Chain Device for X2?

Hi All,
Did my first trip to some real trails yesterday (Gisburn). I had an absolute blast on the Stumpy, but lost the chain a few times and had the odd rock strike on the chain rings.
My set up is a Sram X9 Type 2 Rear mech in a 2x10 config. After running a single ring at the front for a year on my other hard tails, I think I prefer the flexibility of 2X10. I've come to the conclusion that a Chain Device my be the answer, but I have no idea what type to go for.
Any ideas on a good one for a x2 setup?

Does the frame have ISCG tabs?
In terms of keeping the chain on, make sure the front mech is adjusted properly, it should be all you need, you can back it up with a Blackburn stinger, bash guard and/or a deda dog fang (if it will fit).
For the chainring a bash, but you won't fit it to a stock 2x crankset, or a taco.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Yeah it has the tabs. I'll take a look at the mech and see if it needs adjusting first. Just out of interest regarding the bashguard, how would it fit to a x2 setup? I've only ever seen ones fitted in place of the third biggest ring.Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650B http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13032340

Correct, hence why not easy, you need to buy and fit a triple.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I have a 104 BCD N/W chainring if I decided to go single ring. But have I still got the same problem? I'm guessing the ring will only fit in the outer position and not where the granny ring sits?
I'm sure I'll figure it outStumpjumper FSR Comp 650B http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13032340

You're unlikely to find a full bash guard for either 1x or 2x however this should work just as well using the ISCG tabs http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/blackspire-bruiser-beavertail-1x-2x-bash-guard/rp-prod1120820

Yeah, I had a look at those. Think I'm going to have to go for something like that.Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650B http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13032340

If you go to an NW you shouldn't need a guide or bash!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Cheers Rookie, thinking the same really (didn't lose a chain on my last 2 bikes with N/W). Might as well give it a go while I already have the chain ring.Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650B http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13032340
