Hi guys,
Looking for a SRAM Force 22 groupset for my new build (GXP, 50/34, 170mm cranks).
I know SRAM gear is always a bit dearer - cheapest I can find seem to be wiggle at £534.
Has anyone seen it cheaper?? - I've tried a lot if UK sites and a few of the big German sites, but nothing special price wise.
Any pointers much appreciated!

Same at Merlin. It's possible to do it cheaper. For example, shifters and chainset from eBay store about £140 each. But, by the time you add the rest of the components and, crucially, chain and cassette, your pretty much up at £540.
Considered Rival? My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Thanks for the response bender-yeah was trying the separates route on eBay, but as you say it doesn't really work out any better. Was considering Rival ok, but it's not a huge difference in price and as this will be my new best bike, I want to spec it out as well as I can within reason.
It's just annoying when ultegra can be had for around £450....but I just love the double tap system, so may have to suck it up and just get it from wiggle.0 -
Don't forget to TopCashBack it - 3% at both Wiggle and Merlin... I got the Force 22 group from Merlin recently and love it. I upgraded from Rival 20.0

There's a decent looking pair of Force 22 brakes on ebay for £60 at the moment.
A force mech for £49

Apex cassette (these are fine!) £28

Chain from Merlin, £17.99

And front mech £37.99

That's about £492 all in. With used bits and a lot of work. I'd say cashback option and go for whole groupset still best.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I've got bikes with Rival and Force groupsets, both 11 speed, and there's not really much difference between them.
If you can lower your sghts a little, ESC Golf on eBay are flogging a Rival 22 groupset at a very good price. You'd probably get it for £300

Go to ESC Golf on eBay. He has Rival 22 groupsets on there for between £270 and £350 the difference being whether you get a chain and cassette with the bundle. Be aware though, that he has removed the chain catcher from the front derailleurs so you don't get it even though it would have been originally packaged with it. It's still a good deal though if you're after Rival 22 cheap. I've just fitted one for somebody and everything was genuinely new and worked fine.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0

a 10 speed cassette isn't much use on an 11 speed groupset.
Shimano 105 5800 11 speed cassette's are also cheaper.0 -
