I've not ridden one, but Jim at V-Sprint rides & sells them and he raves about them - the quality of his bike in the flesh is impressive (http://v-sprint.com/)

You ask for advice, you get some (admittedly slightly biased), you then dismiss it.

Try using the powers of google to read some reviews and make your own mind up, theres plenty out there.

Oh, a mate has got a Moda and it does look the business and he loves it if that helps

You asked for specific advice on a single bike, and I gave advice based upon the only person I know riding that specific model whilst pointing out the bias.

Had a moda stretto, same wheels etc, awesome bikes, the only bike I regretted selling.

Meant no offence guys Im sure the bloke who sells the moda bikes isnt lying. i was just hoping there were a few people here who have ridden one and could tell me a bit about the ride.

And i have used google and found 2 reviews which is hardly plenty.

I think a test ride would be needed before i dropped that sort of cash.

Moda owner here for the last 4 years and the bike is very well made. It started life as a flat bar but is now my winter/wet weather drop barred bike and I still really enjoy riding it. Quality is not an issue but try one first, size and geometry is much more important. I love the AC wheels btw, they are top notch.

Team iTap and Team Kingdom Endurance Sports race them in Ireland.
All the riders use them in the races, which would suggest that they're good. It's not unheard of for Irish riders to use their own bikes if they didn't like the sponsor's...
They're tough too, the frames have survived several 'epic smashes.'

Thanks for the info. No doubt it will be a good bike, and for the money it should be.

At the moment ive narrowed it down to the moda or the focus izalco max 5.0 for £2300

Another Moda owner here, cannot fault build quality or VFM and they come with extremely good wheelsets compared with other brands. Will probably get another when the time comes.
Too many bikes according to Mrs O.
