Ultegra DI 2 & cassette advice

I have the old-style Ultegra Di2 on my bike (2012 issue) and a 10 speed 11-28 cassette with a compact 50-34 on the front. I am thinking of changing to either a 12-30 10 speed on the back, or an 11 speed 11-32. From an equipment point of view, what are the implications of this, what else would I need to buy/get?

    To run an 11 speed cassette, you'll need a 6870 rear mech and if your firmware is any newer than March 2014, then you'll also need a 6870 front mech too, or you'll have zero functionality. You'll also need an 11 speed chain.

    A 12-30t 10 speed cassette should work ok with your existing set-up, but I'm not 100% sure on this.
