Hey there,
Im new to MTBing and would really love to get into it. I'm a complete newbie to the bikes and such and have no idea what to get to start. I currently have a Saracen Hazzard 7005 Aluminium available for me to use and would like to know if thats suitable for downhill/trail use. If not, it would be great if someone could point me in the direction of a beginners bike.
Thanks

No you can't ride that on Downhill courses - its just not up to it, you can of course ride any bike downhills, as for trail use, I dare say it will cope but it won't be very pleasant, suspension is very basic and won't be up to much and uphills it will be a bit of a tank, you'd be better off with a reasonable quality hardtail.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
