25T to 28T use same chain?

Hi all,

Looking to replace my 11-25T cassette with an 11-28T

As long as my rear mech is facing to the rear in the max ring combination (46 front 25 rear) there is plenty of slack to fit a 28T cassette using the existing chain - right?

    yes, but check big chainring, big cassette sprocket has enough chain - may need an extra link (it may work without but you stretch the mech and it's not as effective IMO)

    thanks - the 46T is the big ring at the front (its a CX bike :) )
