Anyone got theese wheels they seem nice/ & light for the price?
How durable are they is G3 spoke pattern is it a gimmick etc, does it cause problems if them go out of true/ if needed to buy spokes?
Would be using them for road & cx im 80kg
Current wheelset are SHIMANO WH-R501 , so would I notice the 300g weight saving?
EDIT: just checked actually only 105g difference in weight....
Also does 35mm rim cause issue in side winds?

Khamsins are my go to training wheels on the CX and they've been awesome especially for the price. Very robust. I doubt you'd notice the deeper rim profile so save some money and a few grams and just get the Khamsins IMO.0

Heard than deep rims are better in deep mud not sure thats true, also supposedly stronger?
Would use them for TT also as don't have a TT bike. 35mm rim make any difference over 10 miles?
Couple of seconds?
Khamsins are 45g lighter & 60 quid less.
Maybe i'd need to go zonda etc if I really wanted an upgrade :roll:0 -
35cx was my first set of wheels back when i started riding at 92 kg. I did over 900 km commuting on them and they are still true. I would probably put them back on for winter but i will be switching to disc brake bikes. Another benefit over my current Zondas is extra sealing of hub. It's a very strong wheelset, but one should probably think of it as consumables due to pretty low price and relative difficulty of spoke sourcing and servicing.
Mega G3 does not seem to make the wheel weaker. The massive flange inspires confidence but i have no idea if it has any benefits over more conventional Fulcrum layout.0
