What type of bike to get? Into huge jumps

Hi guys.
I'm coming from Motocross and really like huge air time , and i'am playing around with the idea of making a downhill track with nice jumps/drops and funny wall sections. I was thinking i needed a downhill bike because its fairly similar to a dirt bike with suspension front and rear. but after reading a post on some random forum, saying DH bikes are not good for jumps what so ever ( said they soak the jumps)... so I'm second guessing what to get.
the track is gonna be steep and gnarly, with enough speed to clear the jumps of course. their gonna be about 30-50ft( 10- 15 m) long, with a smooth landing. The track itself is not gonna be as smooth
So any help regarding what type of bike to get would be very nice

It all depends on what you mean by jumps and what Dirt jumpers mean by jumps.
Dirt jumpers will go for a dirt jump bike that is to say a big BMX
A DH bike is very bad at Jumps. But will absorb big drops and rough terrain. But also not good for getting the power down and also not good for the skinnies.
I would have a look at some footage of MTB dirt jumping.
A rough entry for a run in to the jumps is a bad idea you will not beable to put any power down."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

DH bikes can be good at jumps, you just have to get a bit physical with it. I have done 40' gaps and that's not huge by DH standards. It's a similar technique to jumping a motocross bike.
If you want to ride dirt jumps and learn tricks then go for a jump or slopestyle bike.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
If you look at the first minutes of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du3Iap2F9ps
you can see what kind of terrain i got to play with. It looks like they use mostly DH bikes. And iam not into tricks (yet). But i want to combine that terrain with jumps. all sizes shapes and form. So if i had to guess, the jumps with the curves all the way to the exit, the DH bike will absorb the jump? contra a jump with a flat exit it will work
looking at this clip at 1:07 minutes into the video that the kinda jumps i want to build( just not that big)0 -
You might make a few jumps, but unless you own a mountain you aren't going to make one of those trails.
As a matter of interest, have you ridden a bicycle? If so, what?I don't do smileys.

You mention that you're going to build the jumps yourself, what kind of land do you have permission to build on as that will influence the suitability of various styles of bikes.Current fleet

Building really big jumps without any experience of how a downhill bike jumps and rides will only end in hospital. You need to know how high and far it will jump and how much speed you will carry in to it.
Mountain bikes aren't as easy to jump as a motocross bike because you don't have the engine to help control it. The take off technique is fairly critical if you want to land it.
You need to start off smaller on some well built jumps, you should soon be up to fourth foot gaps.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

I'm pretty good on fourth foot gaps. But anything wider than 6 inches is scary.I don't do smileys.
