Jagwire cable installation

This is pretty noob sorry;

I'm fitting a new Jagwire Road Pro kit. The cables come with nipples at both ends. Do I just cut the extra one off? Also, the nipples are marked 'CC' at one end, 'CS' at the other; is this relevant?

They are being fitted to Tiagra 4500 STI levers.

Thanks for any help.

    assume that's the brake inner cable? if so it sounds like it is MTB and road compatible - the MTB is the large round nipple, the road the thinner stepped one. Obviously cut off the one you don't need

    no, one end is for campagnolo which is smaller and flat on top, the shimano end resembles a traditional light bulb, curved top, cut the campagnolo end off.
