Welcome. What type of riding/trails are you looking for?

I don't ride much at the moment, and more Portsmouth side, and am an XC rider - I've done the South Downs way a few times in the past, but that's a kinda one-way route through your neck of the woods.
A bit more over this side is QECP, which is "Ok" as a local route, but not a bike park, not worth the 2 hour drive from Brighton from anyway. The other one I'm aware of is Kingley Vale.

    Both are covered here: http://kingleyvalemountainbikers.ning.com/

If your really stuck, take a look at connect.garmin.com and see if there are any "MTB cycling records" nearby people have uploaded - sometimes that can highlight some new areas.
Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.
    Bike 1 (Broken) - Bike 2(Borked) - Bike 3(broken spokes) - Bike 4( Needs Work) - Bike 5 (in bits) - Bike 6* ...

At the foot of the Downs your in ideal XC country!

If you're more into trial riding there are bits at Bury Hill (behind the cafe) Tillgate Forest at Crawley or Bedgebury Forest.

Also a place called Wild Park just outside Brighton - not ridden it but they have a few bits there.
1999 Scott Vail - Work commute
2015 Giant Anthem 27.5 SX - Weekend riding
