Di2 Front Mech Protector Pad

I had a very early di2 bike that had a protective pad mounted on the frame to enable the front mech to shift.

I guess with this set up its no longer needed as the set screw will push against the mount?

Hi,
As long as the set screw presses against the mount you'll be fine. If it doesn't, the shimano di2 front derailleur will come with a small sticky metal pad

Yeah, I've got the pads. Whats the worst that can happen.

Personally, I'd just fit the pad.
