28mm Seatpost
I need to get a 28mm diameter seatpost for a carbon frame but I cant find any that size from my usual shops/websites. Any suggestions about where I can find them?
Alternatively it seems like getting a shim and using a 27.2mm seatpost might be an option. If I decide to do that is it a bad idea to use an aluminium shim with a carbon frame & seatpost?
Thanks!
Haydn

I know some older Colnago frames have this size and Colnago delivered it with a matching post.
Maybe E-bay....
If you need a shim, don't use an alloy one. (galvanic corrosion)
Buy stainless steel sheet of 0,4 mm0 -
Yes the frame is a Colnago C40, I cant find any 28mm seatposts on ebay but will keep checking.
Presumably with the steel sheet id just have to cut it & roll it into a tube?
Thanks for the advice0 -

Originals were made by WR Compositi, so maybe worth a search?Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

i use a 27.2 campag record titanium stem with a proper shim, bought years ago, 27.2-28.0. they do exist. i have a 28mm aluminium seatpost, i think made by selcof, but it never looked right to me.Colnago Addict!0
