Internal Cable Routing
Hi
Putting together Canyon Road Bike carbon it has come with inner cable through all holes gear & brakes. So do I need to use this internal routing or do I remove when routed new cables through??. Stupid question probably but not sure if it would rub on carbon on the inside if not used??.
Many thanks.

The straws are in the frame to thread the cables through. Once you have threaded the cables remove the straws.0 -
Remember to keep the straws though, pain in the arse trying to feed cables through without them.0

This.
I spent over an hour trying to thread a back brake cable through my 2007 Pinarello Prince last night."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

if you cut the outer housing for a brake/gear cable the inside is a bit like those straws. you dont really need to use too much, just enough to slide on the old cable and then slide the new one into the other end and feed them through.www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -

Make sure you have a strong magnet nearby in case a straw falls out.0
