Sub £450 bike. Btwin Trjban 500 SE, Merlin PR7 Ribble Prime

I'm looking to replace my Dixie with a road bike that has gears so I can do some long road rides. I've not got kids if money and reckon £450 is about my limit.

I've narrowed it down to the Btwin Triban SE, Merlin PR7 & the Ribble Prime.

My main reservation with the Btwin is that is comes with microshift rather than shimano components and I'm not convinced they will be very durable. Apart from that, all of the online reviews seem to be very positive about this bike.

I can't find many reviews of the Merlin PR7 or the Ribble Prime so am slightly wary , though I do know both of these companies tend to make decent kit.

Do can anyone help me decide please?

The BTwin Triban range always seem to get great reviews in terms of bang for buck

Have you looked at the second hand bikes on this forum? They are nearly always well maintained and in good nick
