I've been riding an Eastway R4.0 for the last 12 months (see here: but have decided to upgrade, I'm looking at spending £1 to £1.2k which looks to get a lot of bike these days. I'm a big chap...6ft4 and 100kg+ and most my rides are 50 to 100km where I average about 17mph. I generate a lot of power on the flats, but I'm a bit slower climbing because of my weight.

Here's my shopping list, any help or advice appreciated:

Cannondale supersix evo 5 -

Scott solace 30 -

Dolan Etape rival -

Planet X pro canon force:

Ribble sportive racing ultegra -

Btwin Mach 720 -

Canyon endurance cf 7 -

Sorry, long list......but can't believe the choice out there ATM.

Of those I'd go for the Supersix Evo.

But you need to see some of them in the flesh, see which cause a stirring in the trouser area. Sit on some, maybe a test ride or two, make absolutely sure you're getting the right size.

Or the Canyon. It has the newer 11 speed 105 5800.
